Sadly we all know the reality.

Nobody said being a woman would be easy and the new Saskia needs a friend to help her through manage.

After a trial judge sentences the killers of Cass Hall to life imprisonment, her grieving husband goes for a walk on the beach where they had spent so much time together. There he finds an old and faded copper beaker and does what anybody else would do and gives it a rub. Life is about to change for Jack Hall, for he's not a conventional man, Cass was an extraordinary woman and that plain beaker will open the door to three wishes.

At long last here is the much anticipated final part of Ripples. Well, maybe a few people have been waiting for it. I know I have. The original Dandy Edge story was posted here back in 2020. It was always a favourite of mine, but I decided a refresh was needed to make the story feel more rounded and complete.This is the first of 6 parts.Graham has an ordinary life, so everyone thinks, but when he wife discovers he's been wearing her clothes and vows to expose him he decides on suicide to avid he shame.His suicide attempt doesn't go to plan after the intervention of a mysterious girl and he finds himself following a new path into a new life as a young woman.

I'm sorry for the delay in posting this part of the story and that this is such a short chapter. My work life balance at present has too much of one and not enough time for writing. Though more people are supportive and even those they might have believed to become enemies are willing to open their minds. Through it all Candice worries that she can't look at Natasha without seeing Henry and decides on some family activities to help them all adjust.

Having surprised and supported Henry in coming out as trans at school, Candice makes some other surprising choices at home. The immediate after effects are warming and happy, but she knows the wider repercussions of her decisions won't be so easy to manage.

Tallulah's just had a baby, but she's more interested in selling her body to feed her drug habit than looking after baby Kayley. Her older brother, Kyle, feels responsible for her addiction and does his best to help when he can. Stefanie, their estranged mother wants nothing to do with Tallulah or Kayley. Fred's a mysterious charity worker who stops Kyle being robbed at knifepoint outside Tallulah's flat. Fred promises a second chance for them both, but nobody is expecting the radical changes this entails.

I don't have much of an explanation for the time lapse since I posted Part 8; I've had a few changes in my life, and worked through some writer's block. Next time I'll wait until I finish a story before I start posting. Next morning, he is back to himself physically, though memories of what he took part in make him poor company. The other soldiers don't seem concerned or think too deeply about where the mystery woman came from, or where she went.Then the bully, Burrows becomes an alluring woman who offers herself to the garrison.As the only man there with any idea of what is happening, the outsider Jimmy Eccles wonders if the transformations are part of the consequences Lady Menheniot warned of.But which of them will be next?Can anybody break the curse or will they all have to endure it?

It's England in the July of 1940. The Battle for France is lost and the Battle of Britain has not yet started. After surviving the British Army's defeat in France and having been wounded in the Dunkirk evacuation, Jimmy Eccles is sent to Beacon Point Fort on a quiet stretch of Suffolk coast to join a collection of reservists guarding against invasion.One evening the off-duty soldiers are disturbed in their billet when their leader, a loud mouthed bully called Burrows, brings in a village girl and rapes her in front of them. Several others do the same, but Jimmy refuses and is beaten for making a stand.Only a couple of days later the fort is visited by the local landowner, the imperious Lady Menheniot. Disgusted with the soldier's treatment of the girl she promises consequences.That night one of the soldiers vanishes, but nobody notices because the fort is visited at the same time by an attractive, provocatively dressed young woman who seems keen to have sex with all of them.As though they've been hypnotised, all the soldiers are keen to meet her needs; except for Jimmy. He's shocked to see the missing man through her eyes.Is this the first of the consequences Lady Menheniot promised?

Spending time with Lana and her friends forces Clara to fully consider her life and the choices she allowed others to impose on her.Decisions must be made, wine and a hot tub help, but this new start will be all Clara.

After the shock of finding Toby, her ex-boyfriend, has transitioned and is now called Lana, Clara discloses her injuries were caused by her husband. Shocked by the development, Lana invites her to stay with her for a few nights. After meeting Lana's boyfriend and their housemates Lana starts considering her life choices and the mistakes she's made.

Ten years ago Clara's parents forced her to break all contact with her boyfriend, Toby.Having fled her abusive husband to her sister's house, she's laid awake lonely and crying while listening to the radio when she hears an old song she and Toby used to sing together. On an impulse she messages him and to her surprise he replies. A couple of days later they decide to meet, Clara's anxious about seeing him again, but nothing could have prepared her for the changes in Toby's life.

Victoria is waking up from her surgery, the big operation, the final step in her transition.Though it hasn't gone to plan, the hospital padre is involved and confusion reigns. Happy confusion.This is a short one, for me, and was inspired after reading a story by Miss Jessica and by my friends who have chosen this path. Best wishes to all of you.

Mary Cotton was killed in 1918, going out in front of a train to save a child whose foot had become stuck.In 2022, author Adam Lawley has moved into the cottage by the railway where the tragedy took place. He's trying to find a new space to write his latest book after his girlfriend died having their baby. With his long hair and earrings the locals just think he's an eccentric artist, but enjoying the solitude of his new cottage, Adam becomes bolder with his crossdressing.However, his solitude won't last, Mary Cotton hasn't been resting easy, and the grieving Adam might just be the person she can use to find peace.

Waking the day after swapping bodies with Rachel, Ollie finds Eddie is already hunting and making his intentions clear should he find them. Supported by a network to get women away from their abusers, Ollie is given a new name, Faith, and a job in a London hotel. Faith doesn't just want to hide though, she needs to find her own body and get it back. Deciding on the seaside resort of Newquay in Cornwall as a starting point Faith finds another job there. She also finds new friends, and as she grows into the new identity maybe even love.Until serendipity has her cross paths with two people from her past; one welcome and one not so much.

After running away from a violent father, Ollie finds a place playing piano and serving drinks in Eddie's Bar in the city of Hull in eastern England. Here he meets Eddie's girlfriend, Rachel and befriends them both. It's a simple, pleasant time for him while he decides what to do with his life. However, Eddie's a darker, more violent man than Ollie realises and Rachel wants to get away. How she plans to do it will have life changing implications for all three of them.

Here's a short chapter as a badly burned Polly-May rides an ambulance and morphine on the way to the hospital.Nobody is telling her what has happened in the Hakim's flat and she fears the worst, for them and for her future.

Now aware that her transformation is more than just physical, Polly-May heads south to try and persuade Mrs Hakim to reverse the process.However, some body else is trying to find Mrs Hakim, and they aren't as friendly as Polly-May.

After spending time in London learning how to be a woman in the Army, and settling into the back-story of his new identity as Polly-May Barton, Andy is sent to Scotland to pass his year as a woman.Unfortunately, old-fashioned misogyny makes Polly-May's new life more complicated than it ought to be. However, she makes friends among the women in her new unit and starts to accept being female.An invitation to a formal mess dinner at a nearby air force station means having to wear her new mess gown and even enjoy some male company, until she finds Iraq and her old life haven't let go of her just yet.

During his short stay in Kuwait Andy meets the other transformed soldiers and receives a short update on how the incident is being managed. From there they are flown to Wales for decompression and, as their transformations finally complete, counselling and psychiatric assessment.Afterwards Andy is moved to a smart flat in London where he meets Abigail, the woman who is to help him manage as a woman in the British Army. He hopes it will be temporary.

Two days into his transformation, Andy is now more female than male to look at and is constantly mistaken for a woman. He has been contacted by a specialist Army unit and discovered he is not the only soldier affected by gender change. After surviving an attack by Iraqi militia he is tasked with escorting Inaya Hakim, the suspected cause of the changes, back to Kuwait and begin adjusting to his new body.

Andy Rice is an officer in British Army reserves who has been mobilised to support the 2003 invasion of Iraq. During a routine trip back to Kuwait he intervenes to help a female soldier, neglected by her male colleagues and suffering with advanced heat stroke. Managing to evacuate her to medical assistance in time to save her life he thinks the incident closed and gets on with his work.That night he wakes and finds his body changed in a most fundamental and disturbing way. As the day develops, and the war goes on around him he realises he is slowly turning into a woman.

Grace comes home early and finds her brother hanging in the hallway. She's able to cut him down and save him, but reaching out to understand what drove him to suicide opens up a new world for both of them and helps her understand what's really important in life.Warning, there is a decription of an attempted suicide at the start of the story, but it becomes more cheerful after that.

There's much more to Roisin than Stuart could ever have suspected and after he's caught trying on a pair of her high heels events move in an unexpected, but not unwelcome direction.

Like the previous five women found in similar circumstances around Northern England she's been raped and left for dead while her fingerprints inexplicably match those of a young man reported missing from Leeds.The difference between the latest victim and the others is she's still alive.Here's Josie's story and how she helped a very specialist investigation team hunt down the men who transformed her.And found love.

I've written a few stories about that old Cotswolds hotel and the mirror in Room Thirteen that turns men into women. This one's a little different as it's told from the viewpoint of Hazel, the hotel's owner and another of the mirror's beneficiaries.Here she describes meeting Seth, a retired and divorced man from the USA who's looking for somewhere peaceful and supportive where he can began transitioning to live as the woman he's always known himself to be.

I have enjoyed writing it, but it's been deeper and tougher than I thought.Nina's been flow back home and Pippa's there to meet her in the hospital. There's a rocky path ahead for both of them, but an unexpected sighting of an old enemy suggests the road is going to get harder.

Suspecting her abductors might still be hunting for the dress, Pippa decides it's time to move it on and spread the joy to another woman.More happiness comes her way when Nina reports she's to be moved into a safer, rear area post.Planning for her love's return, Pippa's world falls apart with more news from Afghanistan, the worst kind of news.

Waking in hospital after getting herself run over, Pippa doesn't think it could get much worse. Until she's discharged from hospital, is met by some detectives and arrested. However, nothing is what it seems and Pippa has fallen into the hands of a group interested only in how she was turned into a woman.

For all the changes that have swept through Pippa since she wore that dress, there isn't so much joy for her at the moment. As she and Nina fall deeper in love there's bad news about a dangerous overseas deployment to take Nina away.Though there are Christmas parties to dress up for and enjoy, the chance to meet Nina's family then an exciting date with Nina's friend with benefits from her schooldays. Falling deeper in love and becoming the woman she's wanted to be Pippa's happiness would be complete were it not for the war and Nina's role in it.

With his body fundamentally changed, Pippa knows there's no going back and takes steps to make her gender change legal. Her boss at work is supportive, but not everybody is so accepting.Happily Nina is there to hold her hand, keep her facing forward and show her the joy in being her own woman.

After a day playing Pippa, Phillip wakes into the old, male reality and realises how he must shape his life.Welcome distraction, and support, comes when Nina visits with problems of her own. Happily, the magic hasn't finished with him yet.

It kind of took on a life of its own from there, Soraya's backstory got more and more compelling until we get to the story I hope you're about to read and enjoy.The magic has dwindled to a small, but important part and it has been suggested the story would work without it - hence the category contradiction of 'magical transformation' and 'real life situation'. Maybe later I'll try the non-magical option another day.

I first uploaded this story in 2018 and having had a read through a week or so ago I spotted a few typos, there are always some slipping through the editing net. With some time on my hands I decided to have a tidy up and refresh.Preparing for an important dinner date one evening in a hotel, Tabitha's world is rocked when she sees a tall man she'd never thought to see again; the man she used to be.

Graham has an ordinary life, so everyone thinks, but when his wife discovers he's been wearing her clothes and vows to expose his shame to the world he decides on suicide to avoid the shame.His suicide attempt doesn't go to plan after the intervention of a mysterious girl and he finds himself following a new path and a new life as a young woman.The story does start with Graham's suicide, but rest assured there will be a happy ending for him.

The final chapter, and a brief epilogue.She's not keen, but Eliza agrees to go with Mrs Singh to see Melissa. Lora insists on coming too. Hopefully this will be the closure everybody needs so they can move on. Somewhere deep in the English Cotswolds is a country hotel and within one of the guest rooms a mirror which sometimes transforms men into women.Here is another story about that hotel, Hazel its owner and the magic mirror. It should stand alone, but maybe reading one of my older mirror tales like A Night With Penelope or George and the Mirror might help before trying this one.The idea for Hurt came from a song of the same name, written by Nine Inch Nails, though the version that so inspired my was performed by 2WEI. The lyrics are very powerful, though very dark, and brought to my mind the images that open this story; a girl running for her life from her abusers. She's close to the end, ready to end her miserable life until a kind-hearted woman takes her in and stands her before a very old mirror.

I've written a few fantasies about a pleasant hotel and the magic mirror in one of its rooms that changes some men into woman. Here is another one, this one told from the viewpoint of Alice whose boyfriend is going to be the latest lucky man to see a woman looking back at him from the mirror. I hope you like it.After surviving an abusive marriage Alice wasn't really looking for a new relationship, but when he co-worker, Danny asks her out for lunch she decides it's time to move on from her ex. As their relationship grows, Alice discovers that the Danny she loves is more complex than she imagined, that her boyfriend wishes to be a woman.

A chance visit to a smart charity shop during a weekend break confronts Charles with a graceful skirt that would be perfect for some quiet time dressing as Charlotte.Cassie, the shop's sales assistant, think he should try it on. Charles is usually much more discreet than that, but she's very persuasive...

Here's an early one for Halloween.On the thirtieth anniversary of her disappearance, Toby and Tim decide to visit the abandoned house where Victoria Tate once lived. Tim wants to pay his respects, Toby's just there to keep him company, but once inside they find the house isn't as abandoned as they thought. For those of you who have been through my back catalogue of magic mirror stories, you may remember some speculation amongst the beneficiaries of Hazel's mirror about the existence of a twin mirror which turns women into men.A few years after she looked in Hazel's mirror and became the women she'd always longed to be, Saskia meets Jake and feels an immediate bond with him. Has he seen such a magic mirror?She's determined to find out.

This was not an easy story to write, it's not a pleasant tale. I wrote it after a discussion with a friend about the transformation of men who abuse women into women themselves; something I felt was too good for them, even if it were a punishment.Still, I challenged myself to write such a story and here it is.Chelsea used to be a man whose arrogance made women into objects to be used - now he's learning the hard way and he doesn't like it.

Becoming a more feminine woman doesn't seem so alien after that.However, is Emma's past going to return and spoil the happiness she'd building?

I originally wrote this story at 'A Soldier's Story' and posted it on Fictionmania in May 2018. Since then I haven't really been able to get Toots behind me and felt there was more of her story to tell.Here is the rewritten and upgraded story of what happens when a soldier, fighting with gender identity and post-Iraq trauma stands before the magic mirror I've written about before.Part 1 is the build up and immediate aftermath while subsequent chapters will tell of what happens after her transformation.

But she's not all she appears to be, or things she is, and when she is asked to help in the recruitment of another girl for Jason's organisation her world starts to unravel.This tale is a little darker than usual, but it was satisfying to write and I hope you enjoy it. Eddie Fisher is a salesman who hates his job and longs to do something a little more fulfilling. He's in Room 13 in Hazel's hotel, so it seems he will get a little encouragement to change his life. Hopefully he'll take the opportunity.This was the prototype story for the magic mirror idea - why it's taken so long for me to get around to finishing it is anybody's guess - but here it is.

There are so many magic ring stories we probably don't need any more, but I remember some of them with such fondness I couldn't help myself and had to have a go.Here's my version telling the tale of Paul, a humble bank clerk, who finds the legendary magic ring one night and Becky, the police officer, who shares his adventures with it. This is another story centred around Hazel's rather nice hotel and the magic mirror in room 13. This time it's Joe, one of the hotel staff, who benefits from the mirror's mysterious work, but the outcome is not unwelcome or even a surprise to everyone.
